Ben is thrilled to lead the chapter in his third term as ATD-LA President, having previously served the chapter since 2014 in other roles including Director of Chapter Meetings and Manager of Sponsorship. He has more than a decade of talent development, leadership, and HR experience. Ben is currently Director of Field Human Resources at Guitar Center, the world's largest musical instrument retailer, where he works as a strategic HR business partner supporting more than 2500 associates at almost 100 work sites across the western United States. He joined Guitar Center as Manager of Learning Programs in 2016, following several years working in the global talent development teams at MUFG Union Bank and Weight Watchers International. He has also presented at or emceed several regional and national conferences, including HR Retail 2018, the 2017 LA Talent Summit, and the 2016 LA Talent Development Conference. Ben holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance, cum laude, from California State University, Long Beach. He also completed graduate coursework in industrial/organizational psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
President Elect, Director of Chapter Meetings
Kavita has over 20 years of experience in education and training. She was a former corporate trainer, consultant and adjunct and has expertise in needs assessment and the design, delivery and management of training programs for the private and public sector. Kavita has been involved with ATD for over 8 years, previously served on two ATD boards and is the original author of A Practical Guide to Needs Assessment (Wiley, 2014 co-published by ASTD). She has worked with over 2,000 professionals and volunteers, served on eight boards and chaired over twenty-five committees. She is very actively involved at USC and currently chairs the Rossier School of Education Learning Design and Technology Advisory Board. Kavita holds a Masters in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University (Magna Cum Laude), and Masters in Sociology from Rajasthan University and Bachelors in Economics from Delhi University in India.
Tom has over 14 years’ experience in learning and development including over 10,000 hours delivering training; he is passionate about managing learning programs and Instructional design. His training experience covers leadership development, new-hire training, succession planning, new-leader onboarding, customer service, sales, technical, and continuous learning topics. Currently, Tom works for OneOC, as an instructional designer, moving instructor-led training into online learning environments. He invites you to connect on linkedin.com/in/tom-partridge. Tom holds a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential (ATD National) and a BS in Business Administration from CSUN. He earned his E-Learning Instructional Design Certificate from UC Irvine Extension and a Project Management Certification from UCLA Extension. Tom completed the ATD-OC Total Trainer certificate program (Delivering and Creating Training).
Director of Marketing
Margeaux has over a decade of experience in marketing and management consulting. She has an MBA from Pepperdine University and is active in the alumni program. She owns her own marketing and management consulting firm where she helps executives build and manage their personal brand and creates strategies and implementation plans for companies who are launching new products and services. Margeaux volunteered as the ATD-LA Social Media Manager before accepting this role as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Her passion is helping companies and executives communicate values and create unique brand narratives to engage with their customers. She helps highlight the achievements of the ATD-LA community and connect current and rising leaders with ATD-LA training that will help them achieve the next level in their careers.

Danielle Jenkins has 18 years of experience in business management, organizational behavior, and technology. She holds a doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. Her expertise is in training and development, human capital management, and EdTech. Danielle is an international speaker and has served as a presenter and facilitator at numerous conferences, workshops, and webinars on topics related to leadership, human capital management, diversity & inclusion, and education & technology. She is passionate about helping people grow and build new skills so they can advance in their careers. Danielle is the founder of Integrity Management & Consulting Group, a management consulting firm based in Los Angeles, CA.

Social Media Manager
Andrea’s third-grade teacher, Mrs. Nelson, once wrote on her report card: "Andrea is an enthusiastic student, but sometimes her talking interrupts class." This statement could not ring truer, as it’s the best way to describe her and her career destiny. From a young age, Andrea’s intrinsic passions have been people and learning. This was reflected in her studies when she pursued a bachelor’s and master’s degree from California State University, San Bernardino--in Communications. Shocking, she knows. From her master's program, Andrea continued her quest for learning and working with people in higher education where she served as a career counselor, academic advisor, and adjunct professor. In the role of a professor, she taught her favorite subjects: people, culture, and, of course, Communications. Surprise Mrs. Nelson, Andrea became a teacher! Recently, she has transitioned from higher education into corporate education, learning, and development. She is ecstatic to be a part of the ATD-LA team as the Social Media Manager. The position is a perfect fit for her background in communications, along with her zest for media. She can't wait to help develop ATD-LA’s brand and grow its community!
Denise is the ATD-LA Association Manager and has been with the chapter since 2008. She handles the day-to-day operations, reporting, and compliances; and is your contact through email and phone. Her business, More than Just Words, is an association management and virtual assistance company. She also manages the ATD-Orange County Chapter and serves as a bridge for the two chapters.
Grant is the ATD-LA office administrator. He manages email communication, the ATD-LA website, and event planning. He is an editor and instructor at Eucrest Writing where he improves the communication of organizations by designing and delivering writing training seminars, writing and editing business documents, and coaching professionals on improving their writing performance. He also proofreads and edits resumes, cover letters, and academic writing. He earned his BA in history from the College of William & Mary.
South Bay GIG Leader
Sue Gabriele is an innovator and consultant in systemic school and workplace renewal. After a twenty-year career as a high school teacher and university instructor, she returned to graduate school seeking answers to problems in public education and urban workplaces. In 2002, she earned her PhD in Human Science: Social and Institutional Change. Over the last twenty years, Dr. Gabriele and associates have been exploring a new super power tool, the “GEMS RoundTable,” excellent for enriching, transforming, and increasing communication in workplaces, schools, and professional societies. She continues writing, working and consulting in her expertise.
South Bay GIG Leader
For the past 15 years, Anthony Markovich has collaborated with clients to deliver innovative and engaging learning experiences, first as an external consultant with Accenture, then as an internal consultant with Teradata. He has led and contributed to the design and development of numerous web-based, in-person, and blended learning solutions, focused on enhancing the capabilities of sales professionals and people leaders. In his current role as a Sr. Manager of Learning & Development at ZipRecruiter, Anthony is focused on elevating the organization’s onboarding experience and providing people managers leadership development opportunities. Anthony completed his MBA at Loyola Marymount University and is now a part-time lecturer in LMU’s College of Business Administration.

Vince Budrovich is with the Performance Solutions Group and has extensive experience serving the financial services, computer technology, not for profit, petrochemical, real estate and training and media industries. He has been a past president of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) and holds an MA in Planning and Administration from San Francisco State University and a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of California Santa Barbara.
Westside GIG Leader
Angela Anable is the Director of Training for Landmark Theatres. She is responsible for leading the learning and development department for over 1100 employees across 17 states and in 54 locations. Angela has been with Landmark Theatres for 30 years, progressing from working in field operations to the corporate office. Angela has effectively partnered with the field by aligning her training strategies with the field's needs and objectives. Angela is also responsible for coordinating technology implementations across the company and building the training strategies and programs to familiarize all users with new processes and procedures. Angela has been a member of National ATD since 2007 and a local chapter member for the past 3 years. She currently leads the Westside Geographical Interest Group which hosts monthly informative sessions on a variety of topics.
Organizational Development SIG Leader
Jonathan Troper is director of the Center for Innovation and Change (CIC), a consulting unit at Alliant International University. He has led a highly inclusive strategic planning process that engaged all stakeholders over a two year development period. The strategic plan acts as the university’s north star. Implementation is actively underway. At Alliant, he and his colleagues launch careers. He teaches Training and Development, Business Principles, and Professional Practice. Jonathan has a background in OD, program evaluation, tech executive recruiting, and fundraising. He has co-chaired the ATD-LA OD special interest group with Scott Wimer since the turn of the century. He earned his PhD at UCLA and Bachelors at Amherst College.
