Moving the Conference Online: Small Things to Make Large-Scale Learning Events Run Smoothly

Are you moving from putting on smaller workshops (10-15 people) to large scale events with 100 or even 1000 people, all online? Or are you attempting to move your in-person conference online for the first time and are now wondering, “how do I make this work”?

Come learn the keys to a successful large-scale online learning event from our expert, Tammy Borrero, Director of Events for UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs. She’ll let you know the secrets to moving a large-scale event online, what to keep in mind that most people forget, and talk about what’s changed — the good and the bad — in utilizing an online platform for large-scale events

Who Should Attend:

Any person that wears hats as a technical/subject matter expert, team leader, and trainer and would like actionable tips for developing online learning conferences.

Our Speaker:

Tammy Borrero has been creating a wide range of events and experiences in entertainment, non-profits, and higher education for over two decades. From donor receptions to small lectures to large-scale multi-day conferences, Tammy doesn’t just arrange events, she creates experiences. Putting on over a dozen large scale events a year (300-1000 ppl), in our post-COVID world, Tammy has taken the in-person experience and moved it online with little lost, and sometimes new experiences gained, utilizing the broad options and reach that online events make available. One of her most prominent events is the UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Lecture Series, which enhances public discourse on topics relevant to the betterment of society.

This group supports those who are technical/ subject-matter experts in their field and are responsible for training design, delivery, and/or evaluation by creating a professional learning space to explore new strategies and an opportunity to share training and learning science resources.
