Our Los Angeles Chapter and its members are unique! From Santa Clarita to San Gabriel and Torrance, the geographic area that is part of our Los Angeles Chapter is very widespread. Our members are as diverse as the Los Angeles area. They are all passionate learning professionals, from organizational development experts to technical trainers and instructional designers.
The Communities of Practice (COP) are regional, Geographic Interest Groups (GIG), as well as topical, Special Interest Groups (SIG). They offer our members an easy, cost-effective, and efficient way of networking, connecting with the Chapter, and gaining valuable knowledge and skills.
We don't cover your favorite topic or your geographic area? Talk to us about starting your own Community of Practice. We're looking forward to talk to you. For more information on specific groups, see the information below.

GEMS Roundtable Discussion SIG
Meeting Time: 1st Friday of every month from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Meeting Location: Virtual
These "Training Professional's Breakfasts" are friendly, interactive, and focused on professional development in the field of performance improvement. These meetings always end by 9:00 AM – so the rest of your day is still open. Networking among internals and externals is encouraged and welcomed, though this is a "sales-free" zone.
Visit us and you'll also see why we enjoy our meeting space, generously provided by American Honda in Torrance.
Our meetings use the GEMS Text Study RoundTable methodology. We will spend a few minutes reading a selected text or article from leading publications on cutting edge ideas in our field. We will then hear participants' thoughts and experiences on the topic, time divided equally among all present.
Check our calendar for more details. For additional information, please contact: email@example.com
