Navigating the White Water: Finding our Way in Changing Times

Panelists:  Karon Wright, Bryan Lombardi, Cindy Chambers, and  Peter Bechtel

The New Year is traditionally a time of reflection and assessment, when we resolve to achieve new goals. This year we are beginning our programs with some assessment of our own and providing an opportunity to keep our skills sharp and our options open.

If anything is certain today, it’s change. We never know when it will arrive or what it will bring. Our panel discussion has been designed to help us succeed whatever comes our way.

Whether you’re new to the field, assuming a role with emphasis in a different area of expertise from your previous position, or continuing in a current function, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to gain insight into four of the Areas of Expertise (AOEs) in ASTD’s competency model: Coaching, Delivering Training, Designing Learning, & Organizational Development. (Find out more about the model here.)

Attendees will:

  • Gain a glimpse into a day-in-the-life of each AOE
  • Review the decisions that led to his or her pursuing that particular AOE
  • Discover some of the challenges and rewards encountered along the way
