Mindful Leadership: Developing Emotional Intelligence to Drive Organizational Success

Presented by Carey Fried

Please join us for this presentation, which will describe current findings in neuroscience underlining the importance of Emotional Intelligence (EI).  We will explore the link between EI and mindfulness in detail.  You will discover that mindfulness is such a powerful technique that when you first experience it a light will immediately go off as you realize that the applications are endless.  This presentation is for all L&D professionals who want to increase the impact of their training and development efforts.  In this presentation, you will learn how mindfulness can be a dynamic foundation that supports learning and organizational development.

Carey Fried is the director of professional development at CallSource, a company based in Westlake Village with over 200 employees.  In her role, she is responsible for performance improvement across the entire organization.  She combines online, face-to-face learning, and coaching with proven assessment tools for a metrics based approach to performance improvement.  Carey is responsible for linking the company’s ambitious goals with L&D.  In June, she completed Search Inside Yourself, the Google-designed approach to mindfulness-based emotional intelligence.  She is a certified DISC Trainer as well as a Certified Interpreter of The McQuaig System.
