Many of our local members and experienced Board of Directors are happy to speak in small and large events. ATD-LA can help student organizations, faculty, and other departments find volunteers to speak at your next event.
Topics often include career development areas like transitioning into the talent development field, career paths, interviewing tips, business etiquette, transitioning from college to work, the value of internships, and getting started in job search.
To request for a volunteer to speak at your organization's upcoming event or classrom panel, submit relevant information about your event and organization. To increase chance of getting a volunteer, please allow weeks to one month advance notice. Click for flyer
ATD-LA will do its best to connect a potential speaker to your request, no guarantees are made. These speakers are not employees or contractors of ATD-LA. You will be responsible for meeting with the speaker, and discussing the speaker's needs and potential fees or pro bono service. Travel and materials are not included as part of ATD-LA, and you will be responsible for determining how to approach those items, if needed.
ATD-LA is not responsible for the agreement that your organization makes with the speaker directly. ATD-LA membership benefits may be included at the end of the speaker's delivery for audience members that are interested. The chapter reserves the right to post your request at the chapter job bulletin board so potential speakers can contact you directly.
