Learning and development professionals spend a great deal of time designing what I like to refer to as “blind training,” – training that does not align with key strategic initiatives. This design approach makes it difficult to engage key stakeholders, transfer the learning objectives to the learner’s job function, and demonstrate the necessary ROI to sustain the training initiative.  This session provides insight on how to understand the focus areas of executive leadership to support an efficient and effective leadership development training program.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain and conceptualize “leadership language”
  • Diagnose behaviors that align with desired business results
  • Assess a previously designed training program
  •  Apply the “IF-THEN-MEASURE” design to a new or existing training program
