With efforts to transition from American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) to the Association for Talent Development (ATD) branding, our chapter website will be updated.

During December 2014, ATD-Los Angeles will be making several changes to the chapter website and communications. This means that over time you will begin to see some exciting and new things, like:

    • New chapter banner
    • New ATD-Los Angeles logo
    • New branded style format
    • Layout adjustments to several pages
    • New email address
    • And other refinements

Many of these changes will be taking place this Friday and Saturday. So please pardon our dust! If you are having trouble with a page this weekend, wait until later in the day on Saturday and try again.

Over the next few weeks, if you experience any technical issues or find any broken links along the way, please contact our main office at: Office@ATDLA.org.

We are committed to providing you with an easy to use and more contemporary website.  We look forward to transitioning into the New Year with an updated look.

    Sincerely,

    Your ATD-Los Angeles Leadership Team

Did you hear the news? Our chapter is excited to announce that on May 6, during a special live announcement at the ASTD 2014 International Conference & Exposition, in Washington, D.C., President and CEO, Tony Bingham, and the Board of Directors announced that ASTD is changing its name to the Association for Talent Development (ATD).

Over the next few months, you will notice our chapter’s transition to our new name and brand beginning with the introduction of our new chapter logo.

While our name may be changing, the chapter’s board of directors want to assure you the local programming, networking, and services you have come to value and enjoy through the chapter will not change, nor will the chapter’s mission and vision. Like national ATD, training and development will remain at the core of our chapter, and we pledge our service and commitment to you is stronger than ever.

We will continue to keep you abreast of our change, and look forward to you joining us on this journey; together, we are creating a world that works better!

For more information and to review ATD’s new name and announcement materials, please visit www.astdnews.org.

    Did you Know...

that ASTD National will be offering 5 certificate courses in the LA area (El Segundo) this year?

To register directly for any of these courses:

Click on the course link, and follow the instructions there. Be sure to use the ChIP code CH8028, when registering for these or any other products or courses from National ASTD.

What is the The Chapter Incentive Program (ChIP Code)?

It is an ASTD National revenue-sharing program that offers chapters an opportunity to earn additional revenue, when you purchase ASTD National programs, memberships, and services. But you have to enter the Chapter ChIP Code on the order form for the chapter to get credit.

The Los Angeles Chapter's ChIP Code is CH8028, and can be found in the weekly eblast sidebar and in the "About Us" section on the website.

Every person that uses the source code when making a purchase online at the National ASTD Store or over the phone will be contributing to the Los Angeles Chapter's financial health, further enabling the chapter to accomplish its mission. We thank you for your support in using the ChiP 8028!
